Prof. dr. Muhammad Bayu Sasongko, M.Epi., Ph.D., Sp.M, is a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, Universitas Gadjah Mada, and practices at RS Sardjito, Yogyakarta. He holds a Master of Epidemiology and a Ph.D. from the University of Melbourne, Australia, where he later completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Centre for Eye Research Australia. He furthered his subspecialty training through a Medical Retina Fellowship at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and a Vitreo-Retinal Fellowship at Sydney Eye Hospital. His work bridges clinical ophthalmology, epidemiology, and retinal disease research.
