dr. Siti Farida I.T. Santyowibowo, SpM(K) is a consultant ophthalmologist specializing in Community Ophthalmology. A pioneer in community eye health in Indonesia, she has dedicated her career to the prevention of blindness and the improvement of equitable eye care services, particularly in underserved communities across West Nusa Tenggara. She received advanced training in Community Ophthalmology at the Institute of Ophthalmology, London, with further observerships in India and Sri Lanka. She is a former Head of the West Nusa Tenggara Community Eye Health Center (BKMM NTB) and has served as a lecturer, trainer, and active member of PERDAMI. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to community eye care, she has received the Prevention of Blindness Award from the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) and the Prof. R.K. Tamin Radjamin Award from PERDAMI.
