Professor Dr. Liza Sharmini Ahmad Tajudin is a distinguished senior professor and senior consultant ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). She serves as the Head of the Glaucoma Service at Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia and is the founding editor of the Malaysian Journal of Ophthalmology. With over two decades of experience in clinical and molecular research, particularly focusing on glaucoma genetics, clinical management, and visual rehabilitation, she is deeply involved in professional leadership across the region. She holds key roles as a council or committee member in prominent international bodies, including the Asia-Pacific Glaucoma Society, the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) Fellowship Standing Committee, and the ASEAN Ophthalmology Society, alongside her leadership positions within the Malaysian Glaucoma Society and Malaysian Society of Ophthalmology.
