SOEHARNILA, MD

dr. Soeharnila, Sp.M(K) is a consultant ophthalmologist currently practicing at Klinik Mata Nusantara in Jakarta. She earned her medical degree from Airlangga University followed by her ophthalmology specialization at Sam Ratulangi University. Over her career, she has completed extensive subspecialty training and international fellowships. In 2004, she undertook an Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship and a Strabismus Fellowship at the Jakarta Eye Center, and she became a Fellow of the International Association of Contact Lens Educators (IACLE). Her dedication to advancing her expertise continued with the Visx Star S4 Excimer Laser Physician Program and Lasik Training Program, an Advanced Phacoemulsification Course in Singapore, and a Cornea and Refractive Surgery Fellowship at Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand. She further refined her surgical skills by completing a DSAEK and Anterior Lamellar Keratoplasty Training Course at the Singapore National Eye Center and a DMEK Surgical Instructional Course at the Netherlands Institute for Innovative Ocular Surgery in Rotterdam. To expand her clinical knowledge, she participated in International Observership Programs in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at two prestigious U.S. institutions: the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School, and the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, University of Miami.
