Dr. Ahmad Ashraf Amalius, MPH, Sp.M(K), M.Kes is a consultant ophthalmologist and community ophthalmology specialist at the Department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University, Indonesia. He earned his medical degree, ophthalmology specialty training, Master of Public Health in Community Eye Health, Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences, and Doctoral degree from Hasanuddin University and the Pakistan Institute of Community Ophthalmology. Dr. Amalius is actively involved in clinical practice, teaching, and community eye health programs, with particular expertise in cataract blindness prevention, public health ophthalmology, and eye care service development. He currently serves as the National Coordinator for Cataract Blindness Prevention within the Indonesian Ophthalmologists Association (PERDAMI).
